The night tours of the Badaling Great Wall in 2024 will be available from April 30 to the National Day holiday, a period covering the upcoming May Day holiday. The accessible section will span from the North Fourth Tower to the South Fourth Tower.
Starting from April 30, the cultural block within the scenic area will host an array of upgraded original performances for the public. These performances will take visitors on a journey through time, blending various art forms such as musicals, dance, acrobatics, and martial arts, and providing them with an unparalleled experience. Following the shows, numerous staff workers dressed like soldiers in the Ming Dynasty will lead visitors to the North Gate where they will partake in the ceremony of ascending the Great Wall.
Apart from themed performances, the night tours of the Badaling Great Wall will also feature interactions with staff workers dressed in different costumes, stunt car displays, and a selection of distinctive intangible cultural heritage snacks and photo-taking spots. These will provide visitors with immersive experience, allowing them to truly appreciate the glamour of the Great Wall.
As part of the supporting services for the night tours of the Great Wall, night buses will operate between downtown Beijing and Badaling, as well as between Badaling and hotels in Yanqing District.
