On 16 September 2025, the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) co-hosted the ASEAN-China Advanced Industrial Cooperation and Development Exchange Conference and the Vietnam-China Cross-Border Economic Cooperation Development Conference in Nanning of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Vice Chairman Wang Naixue of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ACC, Vice Chairman Le Van Anh of the People's Council of Quang Ninh Province of Vietnam, Deputy Minister Saysana Sitthiphone of the Ministry of Technology and Communications of Lao PDR, and Deputy State Secretary Svay Nakry of the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia attended and spoke at the opening ceremony.
As an important event under the framework of the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo, the Conference attracted more than 400 representatives from government agencies, chambers of commerce and enterprises from both ASEAN Member States (AMS) and China for in-depth exchange of views on strengthening advanced industrial cooperation.
The Conference also witnessed the execution of Introduction of Advanced Industries, City Promotion, Experience Sharing of Cross-Border Trade, Vietnam-China Product Matching and Business Networking. Representatives from ASEAN and China engaged in discussions of ideas and experience. A series of cooperation initiatives were also signed at the Conference.
AMS dignitaries expressed high expectations for the prospects of ASEAN-China industrial cooperation. Le Van Anh stated that Vietnam is vigorously promoting development of high-tech and innovation industries and continuously improving its business environment. Vietnam welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest and operate in Vietnam. For Laos, Saysana Sitthiphone anticipated the enhanced digital infrastructure connectivity between ASEAN and China to help Laos business community better participate in the global innovation and industrial cooperation. Svay Nakry noted that Cambodia will be improving its legal and regulatory frameworks to boost investor confidence and willing to work with China and other ASEAN countries to build a more resilient regional industrial chain system.
